HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT?
eating utensils(and other goal-applicable clichés)

How do you eat an elephant, especially when faced with such an enormous and apparently impossible task? Why even make the attempt if failure seems so evident? Is that the same approach you have toward your goal? Does the distance from here to there appear to be too great, too involved, too difficult for you to even attempt the journey? Many of us feel like this. So we wait, we dream, and we ignore the elephant in the room.

Even an elephant will wilt away if not fed.

You have a dream that has been created by your imagination as a viable solution to a change you want to make in your life. Whatever the change, your mind has conceived a doable, completely possible resolution.  Believing in this resolution is a good start but you must do more than just believe. You must feed the dream, nourish it. Give it substance so that it can stand the test of time. If you make it tangible you can make it reality.

So don't ignore the elephant, feed it through whatever means necessary. Do you need to do research? Would networking help? Can a mentor shed some light? Is there a club or group that might inspire you? Do what is required to beef it up, to make it worth the effort to achieve. Then take it one bite at a time.

That's the answer on how to eat an elephant. Don't bite off more than you can chew, simply take it one bite at a time and you'll be amazed at how quickly you achieve that professed impossible dream.

Acknowledge the elephant then nourish the elephant. From there, it's just one bite at a time and before you know it - the end result will be achieved.

(By the way, no elephants were harmed, or even wished harm, in the writing of this article!)
