I hope you have had
a wonderful summer and were able to put your feet up for
a bit and relax with family and friends. For many,
those warm, lazy days are already becoming a fast memory
as we move into cooler weather and busier
schedules.

Believing in the potential of our dreams can
be difficult. We are easily blinded by time
constraints, money issues, commitment demands, and other
responsibilities that play havoc with our ability to
see the promise in our ideas. Because
of this, we have a tendancy to hide our true desires and
create "faux-dreams" instead. These false dreams tend
to lead in the general direction of, but not
necessarily to, our heart's desire.
Although movement may be taking place, we never
feel completely satisfied because we are not seeking
what we truly desire to achieve.
Here's a thought: what if your dream, that one you
keep hidden within your heart, can
become reality? What if every obstacle you perceive as
preventing you from taking action was no longer an issue
blocking your way? Would you start pursuing that dream
today?
The "What if"
Question
If you are willing to consider the
possibility that your dream can be
realized, then you have actually begun the process
of realizing that dream! Here's  why: in considering its
possibility you are agreeing that it's a legitimate
idea. To be a legitimate idea, you need
to know how to move from where you are to where you
want to be. Once you have that course of action
mapped out, well then... what's stopping you
from taking it? Nothing!
Consider it now. You already have a list of
excuses as to why you should not
pursue your dream. But these are just "excuses",
not valid reasons. If these excuses were no longer
an issue, what then? What if you could find more
time? What if you could discover a way financially? What
if pursuing your dream made you a better life-partner,
parent, family-member, and/or friend rather than a
frustrated, dissatisfied one?
"What if" is a very powerful phrase. So powerful
that it can empower you to turn a fantasy into a
reality.
Instead of deciding your dream should be nothing
more than a dream, realize that your excuses are truly
nothing more than excuses. Start by asking yourself a
simple question: "what if I can do
this?"
What if you did? How wonderful would that
